Crop Suey Challenge #1

Here is my entry for Crop Suey's first challenge.
I used glimmer mist on the background paper and the circle in the back.  I also distressed and inked the paper elements in the layout.  I added some cute vintage buttons to add to the overall vintage feel of the page.  The girl in the picture is me with my 90's hair.

Scrapfit #29

This is the layout I have made for Scrapfit's Challenge 29:  Monster Mash.  The challenge is to use the title of a Halloween song as the title for your layout.
The song that I chose was "Jeepers Creepers."  I used the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge to make the ghost.

Daisy Challenge-My Creative Scrapbook

The Daisy Challenge at My Creative Scrapbook is to post a LO about your pet.  I poured through my pet pictures and decided to use Lady's pictures that I took a couple of years ago.
I did this layout in black and cream and only wanted to use a few accents of crimson to make the background pop.  And yes, I was making the layout instead of doing my homework.  Bad Sylvia.

The everyday scrapper-October Challenge

The Everyday Scrapper October challenge is to use layered punched paper.
Here's my take on it.  I used several layers of punched paper for the background.

Fly

Here is the latest layout I made this weekend even though I'm as sick as a dog right now.  I hand made the blue center flower.  I got the fabric from the scraps section at Hobby Lobby and it only cost about $1.50.   The center of the flower is from Prima.   The good news is that I have plenty of fabric left.  I hung a little charm from one of the birdcages.

The everyday scrapper-Sept Challenge

Here is the LO that I did for the everyday scrapper Sept challenge.  The challenge was to use chipboard somewhere on the layout.  The chipboard I used is the large flower on the side.  I used a lot of liquid pearls to jazz up the paper.  The circles I cut out and used liquid pearls on and then used dots to have them pop off the page.

Summer Scrapping

My Creative Scrapbook was having a Summer Challenge where you had to show some of the layouts you have completed over the summer.  Sounds simple enough.  I didn't have anything to enter for the vacations that we took this summer so I wanted to create a new one.
Unfortunately,  I have been having problems uploading my images to the site.  It either errors out completely or I can't figure out the correct way to link the image to the post.  Nonetheless, I did not end up entering the LO after all but figured I would post it on here anyway.

First Blog

My name is Sylvia.  I am a certified scrap-a-holic.  I have been scrapbooking since about March 2010.  I have quickly become obsessed and want to scrapbook everything.  On several scrapbooking sites there are challenges available to everyone and I decided I'm gonna go ahead and try my hand at it. The first one that I entered was the Everyday Scrapper's flourish challenge.

The challenge is to use a flourish somewhere in the LO.  The picture is of my darling daughter's dance recital.  The papers are Tim Holtz and the flower and flourish are Prima.  I used the retro flower punch for the smaller flowers and used beads for the centers.
