This is sketch 6-11.  Ali MacDonald created a lovely and whimsical sketch with flouishes and lace.  Just beautiful.

What I love most about this sketch is the layers and the different shapes.  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

This was a very fun layout for me and makes me want to run out to the beach!

Black with 2 April 15th Challenge

Sorry that I'm a bit late posting my layout for the Black with 2 April 15th Challenge.  The challenge is to use dominant black with yellow and fabric.  

I used black for my background and double matted my photos.  I used a yellow polka dot PP as my yellow accent and added some stickles to that as well.

The large flower is made out of fabric which covered my fabric criteria.  I splattered some yellow paint to match the background of my photo to hopefully tie the layout together.

It's that time again for one of Ali MacDonald's wonderful sketches from the Creatively Yours: Sketches blog.  This particular sketch has a whimsical feel to me so I wanted to do a layout that was romantic and feminine.

This is my beautiful dog Boo.  She always looks so regal and put together.  I thought that she would be the perfect subject for the layout.  Make sure you play along and join the fun on the Creatively Yours:  Sketches blog!

Black with 2 April 1st Challenge

Black with 2 Challenge is back!  The April 1st challenge is up.  You have until April 14th to submit your take on the challenge.  So the criteria are:

• Black (being the dominant color)
• Lavender
• Glitter

Here's my take on the challenge.

There is of course lots of black.  I sprayed lavender glimmer mist on the black background although it did not translate well the the photograph.  I used several different lavender PP for my layers.  I have some black glittered ribbon by the blooms which of course have lots of glitter themselves.  I added some black stickles to the PP.  Of course there is some lavender liquid pearls trailing that beautiful butterfly.  For the title I used white glittered Thickers.  Of course I inked and distressed the edges.

Crop Suey March Challenge

Here is my layout for Crop Suey's March Challenge.  The challenge was to use any kind of tape in the layout.  I used a printed masking tape underneath the lace.
